Fans were already in their seats at Mission's Clarke Theatre when the announcement occurred.

Burton Cummings fans were upset to learn that Wednesday night’s concert had to be cancelled.

The crowd had already gathered at Mission’s Clarke Theatre and watched the opening act, WiL, perform.

As the lights dimmed for Cummings set, it was announced that the popular singer was suffering from laryngitis and would not be performing.

His backup band, the Carpet Frogs, played for the crowd.

Cummings has rescheduled his Mission show for April 27 and all tickets already sold will be honoured at that performance. Refunds are also available.
