Renovations start next month at municipal hall to create one window for service.
The change was recommended in the core services review and will cost the district $25,000.
Currently, there are service counters on both municipal hall floors: the top floor for administration and finance and the lower floor for development and engineering services.
According to a report to council, this creates confusion and frustration when customers are unsure where to go.
To centralize service, three finance personnel will move to the lower level and the upper floor waiting room will be reduced to create more office space.
Work will be done during evenings and weekends as much as possible to reduce interruptions to day-to-day operations, and is expected to be finished for this year's tax season.
More than half of the project funds will come from general capital reserve, while the remaining $11,368 will come from administration, finance, inspection services, and planning department budgets.
