District of Mission hires new manager of civic engagement

Michael Boronowski will start his new job in early August

Michael Boronowski has been hired as the District of Mission's new manager of civic engagement and corporate initiatives.

Boronowski has history of community involvement and is passionate about reaching out to people in order to seek their unique perspectives on a variety of issues.

He brings diverse work experience and broad educational background to the district. In addition to his visual arts and digital animation studies, Boronowski has a masters of arts in leadership  from Royal Roads University and a diploma of technology in broadcast journalism from the BC Institute of Technology (BCIT). Boronowski is currently the manager of student recruitment and client services with BCIT.

Mission's chief administrative officer Ken Bjorgaard said, “Michael Boronowski will be a very valuable addition to the dedicated staff team here at the District of Mission. Michael’s wide and diverse skill set will benefit the community and the District for years to come. I look forward to working with Michael and utilizing his many talents in moving civic engagement forward in our community.”

Boronowski officially starts his new position Aug. 11. He replaces Jennifer Kinneman who left the district earlier this year for another job opportunity with the Fraser Valley Regional District.
