It’s not too early to think about Christmas.

No, not shopping – helping people who need it.

Mission Community Services Christmas Bureau and Food Centre is preparing to make Christmas possible for hundreds of local families, seniors, and children in need this year.

This year’s Christmas Bureau will bring back the “in-person” shop for participating families. MCSS says it’s Christmas Bureau is committed to ensuring families receive toys and festive food hampers during the Christmas season.

Registration for the Christmas Bureau can be completed online at missioncommunityservices.com.

Registration will run from Nov. 2 to 30. Families will be able to begin receiving their Christmas hampers and toys on Dec. 7 to 16

“Every year the community of Mission comes together to support the Christmas Bureau and we hope this year is no different,” reads an MCS news release. “In fact, due to the ongoing economic changes, we continue to see an increase of those accessing our Food Centre and expect that our numbers for both toy registration and Christmas hampers, this year, will also increase exponentially. If you are fortunate to have a little extra this year, won’t you consider helping a family who may be struggling?”
