The Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon Green Party riding association has announced that Green Party leader, Elizabeth May will hold a town hall meeting in Mission on March 31.

The event takes place at 7 p.m. at the Mission Friendship Centre, 33150 First Ave.

May will be joined by Mission’s Christine Jamieson, who has been crowned Miss Canada for 2019.

During the meeting, May will discuss topics including: What matters to you? How would you improve our democracy? What can we all do together to secure our future, for humanity, for the natural world?

The public is invited to share its priorities, concerns, and vision for Canada’s future.

May has been the leader of the Green Party of Canada since 2006 and is MP for Saanich-Gulf Islands in southern Vancouver Island.

“The Green Party isn’t like any other political party. Our mission is to rescue grassroots democracy from the political spin that makes voters recoil. Our goal is to make sure the planet and our communities survive and thrive,” said May.
