Clear skies and several new attractions drew large crowds to this year’s Missionfest last weekend.
The annual event took place Saturday throughout the downtown core.
Attractions included a 4x4 vehicle display for motor enthusiasts, a section for non-profit community groups to showcase their programs, Mission RCMP and firefighters, extended hours for the Mission Farmers’ Market, a logging sports show and the always-popular children’s section filled with games, bouncy castles, activities and more.
New this year was a special addition to the vendors’ block: a three-storey, 300-foot-long zipline, which visitors could ride along a full city block.
