Grants given to Mission groups

Community gaming grant funding totalling $284,974 will go to support 19 Mission human and social service community organizations.This funding is part of a $33 million payment of community gaming grants to thousands of non-profit organizations across British Columbia.Following are the grants dispersed locally:• Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary 15: $900• Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 57: $2,000• Lifetime Learning Centre: $15,250• Optimist Club of Mission: $2,250• Mission Adopt-A-Block Society: $4,250• Sasquatch Lions Club: $2,125• Knights of Columbus: $2,125• Air Cadet Squadron 521: $4,100• Scouts Canada (4th Mission Group): $6,400• Scouts Canada (1st West Heights): $6,900• Mission Alano Club: $8,250• Mission Community Services Society: $62,100• Mission Friendship Society: $12,500• Abbotsford District 4-H Council: $13,500• Mission Daycare Society: $14,750• Hatzic Prairie Recreation Commission: $18,000• Mission Association for Community Living: $18,324• Women’s Resource Society of the Fraser Valley: $19,250• Mission Hospice Society: $72,000.
