There will be plenty of red and white on display today at Fraser River Heritage Park.

It’s time to celebrate Canada’s 149th birthday and what better way to do that than to attend the annual Mission Canada Day Celebration.

Fraser River Heritage Park will be buzzing with activity today (July 1), beginning at 8 a.m. with the Rotary Sunrise Pancake breakfast and ending at 10 p.m. with fireworks.

Throughout the day there will be an array of activities, games and performances for the whole family to enjoy including mini-golf, the fly ball and agility dog show, logger sports show, demonstrations of martial arts and yoga and more.

Once again there will be a Kids Zone featuring face painters, balloon artists, bouncy castles, kites and games, just to name a few activities.

Don’t miss the cake cutting at noon or any of the live entertainment including singers, belly dancers, magic and plenty of other guests.

Corey Primus will hit the stage at 4:45 p.m., Prior Street Lush performs at 8 and 9:15 p.m. and The Harvest will be on stage at 7:30 and 8:45 p.m.

This is a free family event. Fraser River Heritage Park is located at 7494 Mary Street in Mission.
