A 38-year-old man is facing break and enter charges after he was found sleeping in the rafters of a local business.

Mission RCMP were called to a report of a break and enter on the 32000-block of Mission Way Sunday afternoon, after an employee noticed a fence had been cut and a man he didn't recognize was inside.

The Lower Mainland District Police Dog Service was called and a man was found sleeping in the rafters of  the attic. Jeffrey Phillip Morabito was arrested and taken into police custody.

The same afternoon, police discovered Morabito had outstanding arrest warrants, which included charges of  theft and causing a disturbance.

“The employee did the right thing by immediately calling the police,” said Mission RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Sharon Siluch in a statement.

Morabito now faces one count of break and enter and his next court appearance on his outstanding charges is set for mid November.
