A man was struck by an eastbound train Thursday afternoon west of the Highway 11 overpass in Mission.
The collision happened around 12:20 p.m., said Salem Woodrow, spokesperson for Canadian Pacific.
The victim, who officials say was trespassing on CP property, was transported to hospital by air ambulance. Details of the injuries he sustained are not known at this time.
The crew on the train sounded the whistle, but was unable to stop before making contact, said Woodrow.
CP Police are investigating the incident. Mission RCMP have not released any details.
