Man, known to reside in Mission. sought on several outstanding arrest warrants

Mission RCMP say a man, known to reside in and frequent the Mission area, is being sought on several outstanding arrest warrants.

Andrew Gordon Purser, 40, was released on bail on Sept. 29, 2021 from Surrey and was last seen at an address in Mission on Oct. 7.

Purser’s whereabouts are currently unknown and there are indications Purser’s electronic monitoring has been tampered with.

In July of 2021, Purser was charged with assault and assault causing bodily harm during an altercation in Mission.

In late July of 2016, RCMP commenced an sexual assault investigation involving the then 35-year-old Purser.

The victim was a female in her teens.

On Dec. 16, 2016, Purser entered a guilty plea of Sexual Interference of a person under 16 years of age and was sentenced to two years in jail; two years of probation; firearms prohibition; and ordered to provide a DNA sample.

Purser is described as being five feet, 10 inch tall Caucasian male with short cropped brown hair and facial stubble. He weighs approximately 220 pounds.
