Issues:
The most important issues facing this election is lack of trust, honesty and courage in your representatives. Politics have sunk to a new low in Mission. I intend to change that. I want to see Mission on the front page of a newspaper for a positive reason for once. I will bring a code of ethics which will bring pride amongst residents and combat apathy within the community. When people are engaged in their democracy, all other problems are easier to solve. We cannot solve other problems when we have a dysfunctional democracy. People need to be able to trust elected officials, and it must be earned! A vote for me sends a message! Do not let your chance to have a say go by without expressing it (only 30 per cent turnout last time). We must not set a new low standard in politics within our community.
Once Missionites regain confidence and remind their government that they aren't leaders but elected representatives, we will proceed in implementing a participatory budget, where citizens will directly have a say where part of the city budget will be spent.
