Local Mission air cadets of the 521 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron spent their Saturday hauling away trash from the local Royal Canadian Legion grounds as an example of good community service.

The cadets were able to pick up 950 kilograms of debris in 25 garbage bags from Branch 57 located at 32627 Logan Ave.

“It was a privilege for the cadets to be able to spend the day cleaning up the outside grounds of the Legion as a way of thanking and honouring the members,” said Cpt. Alicia Kathrens in an email.
