With wintery weather finding the Fraser Valley this past week, Mission Community Services has an option for those in need to stay warm.
The Extreme Weather Response shelter on Logan Avenue features 10 beds for people over the age of 19. The shelter is open 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. daily between October 15 and April 15.
The shelters are pet friendly and available during challenging weather situations such as temperatures below zero, heavy rain or snow, and strong winds.
The beds are primarily for homeless and at risk individuals, with youth beds available as well.
