A single motor vehicle crash sent three Mission men to hospital last Friday.

The incident happened just before 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 14, said RCMP Sgt. Miriam Dickson.

The black Acura was travelling westbound on Keystone Avenue when the driver failed to negotiate the turn east of Townshipline Avenue and smashed into a traffic pole, knocking down power lines.

The male occupants range between 20 and 21 years of age.

The driver had to be cut out of the vehicle by firefighters and was airlifted to Royal Columbian Hospital with head injuries, where he remains in serious condition, said Dickson.

The front passenger also suffered serious head and facial injuries and the back seat occupant escaped with cuts and bruises. Both were treated at Abbotsford Regional Hospital.

The driver is being investigated for driving while impaired, noted Dickson.
