Mission Fire Rescue Service was called out to a house fire on Scott Avenue, by Hurd Street on Thursday afternoon at about 2 p.m..
Smoke could be seen rising out of the roof of the property, but no flames were visible.
The home was evacuated and fire crews quickly got the scene under control.
A BC Hydro truck was called in to shut off the power.
