Mission school district is getting $78,011 in provincial money to buy a school bus.
The funding comes from a $14-million fund organized through the government that will see 125 new buses rolling into districts throughout B.C.
These new clean diesel buses reduce exhaust particulate emissions by 90 per cent compared to the previous 1994 standard, said a press release.
The buses also obtain 30 to 60 per cent better mileage than gasoline-fuelled buses, consequently providing longer service.
