The Mission Minor Hockey Association (Mission Stars) was at the Mission Leisure Centre today (Nov. 27) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., collecting food and other items to help those impacted by the recent flooding.

The group held a Fill The Trailer event and is asking the public to come by and help fill a trailer with much needed items.

The organization asked for donations of various items including blankets, towels, rain gear, new socks, cleaning supplies, toiletries, baby bottles and food, basic first aid kits, diapers, wipes pet food, can openers and any non-perishable food items.

The goal was to fill the trailer by 1 p.m.
