Mission hospice and Hatzic PAC receive grant funds

The money was provided through provincial gaming revenue

Two Mission community groups are benefiting from a total of $73,245 in the latest round of gaming grants released by the provincial government.

The Mission Hospice Society received $72,000, while Hatzic Secondary School's PAC has been given $1,245. The money comes from an $8-million provincial gaming revenue fund.

The community gaming grants are provided to groups which offer programs in sports, arts and culture, public safety, environment, human and social services, and parent advisory and district parent advisory councils.

Over 6,000 community groups across B.C. have benefited from these funds so far.
