The Mission mayoral all-candidates meeting, originally scheduled for Oct. 5, has now been combined with the council all-candidates meeting that will be held on Tuesday (Sept. 27) at Clarke Theatre.
An additional 90 minutes has been added to give more opportunity for candidates to speak. Doors open for the event at 5 p.m., with the meeting running from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Rules and format for the meeting will be finalized by Friday (Sept. 23) at 4 p.m. and will be shared with all candidates that have confirmed their attendance.
“This will give people a chance to come in, learn about the key election issues, and familiarize themselves with who’s running,” stated Manny Deol, moderator and President of the Mission Chamber of Commerce in a press release. “It’s an excellent opportunity for people to come out and meet the candidates.”
The event is free for all to attend. Clarke Theatre is located at 33700 Prentis Avenue.
