Mission's newly elected school board trustees were sworn into office Monday night.
About 70 people attended the event at Mission Secondary School.
Mission Public Schools' secretary-treasurer Wayne Jefferson called the trustees to the podium one at a time to take the Oath of Office and pledge their allegiance to the Queen. Each trustee also signed a code of ethics developed by the school district.
Trustee Rick McKamey was named chair of the board by acclamation, and trustee Tracy Loffler was declared vice-chair.
