Mission’s 2021 by-election to determine a new mayor will have mail-in ballots.

On March 1, council unanimously authorized and adopted the ministerial order allowing the district to expand mail-in voting.

All eligible voters will now be able to vote and register at a distance, and are permitted to use a secrecy sleeve instead of a secrecy envelope.

Election officials will be able to make oral declarations for voters, entitling them to vouch for them if they lack the proper identification.
