Nate McCready is the new executive director of Mission Community Services Society.

McCready began his career on the Downtown Eastside in Vancouver as an outreach worker for inner city youth. Following that, he worked for the Salvation Army in Abbotsford as the Community Services Director and at the Phoenix Society as the Director of Programs.

McCready has a Diploma in Professional Counselling from the Vancouver College of Counselor Training and holds two leadership certificates. He has a firm belief in the strengths of both individuals and communities when it comes to assisting marginalized populations.

“McCready describes himself as a strong strategic thinker who enjoys the challenges of growth and change and brings over 20 years of successful experience developing and administering programs,” said Roger Dowker, Chair of Mission Community Services Society.

McCready will lead the management team at MCSS and is responsible for reporting to the board of directors. He will serve as the main public contact and spokesperson for Mission Community Services Society, and will represent the organization in all professional business capacities.

He is looking forward to working with local community partners and building relationships in the community.
