New public works director hired in Mission

Tracy Kyle has 20 years experience in municipal engineering

Tracy Kyle has been hired as the District of Mission's new director of engineering and public works.

Kyle is a professional engineer with civil engineering and bachelor of science degrees from the University of British Columbia. She has more than 20 years experience in the municipal engineering and public works field with a number of organizations, including the City of Coquitlam, the City of Kamloops and the City of Abbotsford.

Kyle will be leading the planning, maintaining and building of district infrastructure and facilities, including the road network, the water and sewer systems, the landfill, the drainage system and the municipality's buildings.

Kyle will begin her position in early August. She replaces former director Rick Bomhof, who resigned earlier this year.
