Mission Fire/Rescue Services places ban on open burning

Mission Fire/Rescue Service

A ban on burning is being imposed throughout the District of Mission beginning Friday, Aug. 1 at 12 p.m.

The ban applies to all types of open burning, including camp fires and backyard fire pits. It does not apply to cooking devices, like barbecues.

The measure is being put in place by the Mission Fire/Rescue Service due to the hot, dry weather.

The ban will remain in effect until further notice.
