There will be no in-person classes at University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) this week.

All UFV buildings in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Mission will remain open, but classes will be remote.

“As communities in the Fraser Valley continue to battle flooding and with significant road closures and worsening driving conditions, the University of the Fraser Valley’s top priority remains the safety of our students and employees.

All UFV’s educational activities will be remote for Monday, Nov. 29 to Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021.

The UFV exam schedule has not changed at this point. All student services and student supports are available online. Check UFV.ca for more information. The Campus Connector shuttle will not be running.

The Chilliwack School District approach is different.

School District officials announced online that all Chilliwack schools will be open for staff and students on Monday, Nov. 29, but there are busing disruptions, with details on their Ride 360 app or on the website.

For the students in the Columbia Valley, Maple Falls Road was closed. Pick up and drop off at Henderson/ Columbia Valley Road or Kosikar Road/Canyon Rd.

In Yarrow there was no busing on Majuba Hill. Pick up and drop off is at Yarrow Community School.
