Local band The Anciients didn't get the nod at the Juno Awards this past Sunday.
The band – which is comprised of two Mission men, Chris Dyck and Ken Cook, along with Aaron Gustafson and Mike Hannay – were nominated for the best metal/hard music album of the year, with their record, Heart of Oak.
Edging out the competition was Protest the Hero, which took the honour for its album Volition.
