A four vehicle collision on the Lougheed Highway by Nelson Road in Mission has killed one person. Mission RCMP are investigating.

One person is dead and three others have been sent to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash in Mission

Just after 3 p.m. on Monday (Oct. 10) Mission RCMP and emergency crews were called out to Lougheed Highway and Nelson Road. Four vehicles were involved in the accident.

One person was pronounced dead on scene while three others were taken to hospital. Two air ambulances were called in to airlift the patients from the scene.

Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to get the victims out of the wreckage.

According to a witness at the scene, a child was transported with serious injuries to Children’s Hospital.

Mission RCMP and the RCMP’s ICARS team are investigating the incident.
