Police are warning the public about a recent rash of counterfeit $20 bills being passed in Mission over the last week.

Mounties are investigating after three businesses in the Junction Mall and area have reported receiving counterfeit $20 bills. The bills have all been paper-style bills, not polymer, with the same serial number, ESG0943472.

Merchants and consumers are reminded to carefully examine currency they receive to ensure it is genuine.
