The Mission Twins hosted the 2022 BC Minor Baseball 11U AA Provincial Championship over the long weekend.

A total of 10 teams from around B.C. played. Pool A had teams from Aldergrove, Abbotsford, Salmon Arm, Prince George and Surrey/Newton; Pool B had Ladner, North Langley, Ladysmith, Kelowna and Mission.

Aldergrove won Pool A, winning all six games they played from from July 29 to 31; Abbotsford was runner up, going 4-2 over the weekend.

Ladner won Pool B, going 4-2, followed by North Langley with a record of 3-3.

The home team Mission Twins had a tough showing through the tournament, dropping all four games – though most games were competitive.

When the Twins faced off against the Ladysmith 49ers on Friday, the two teams traded the lead for five innings. They were tied at nine runs each going into the sixth inning, before the 49ers scored two on a late-inning home run and Mission could not catch them.
