Police seek assistance in identifying suspects

Mission Mounties are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who assaulted and robbed a 29-year-old deaf and mute Mission resident.

Around 8 p.m. on May 8, two men approached the victim near the corner of Second Avenue and Welton Street, punched him and stole his scooter, said Sgt. Miriam Dickson.

There were two witnesses in the incident who listed both suspects as native males between 17 to 21 years old, about 5’10,” with a slim build. One of the suspects had black hair with frosted tips and was wearing a black and white hoodie and black pants.

The second suspect is described as having black hair and wearing dark-coloured clothing.

The victim suffered minor injuries.
