PROFILE: Arnold Muir, councillor

A 12-year resident of Mission is running for councillor

Originally from Surrey, I have resided in Mission with my wife and children for approximately 12 years. I hold a bachelor’s degree from Simon Fraser University, and I’m presently taking distance education through the Sauder School of Business.

I have 25 years experience in public service and was actively involved in the BCGEU for many years. I am involved in the Citizens’ Advisory Committee for Mission and Ferndale institutions and plan to continue doing so.

Currently, I work with developmentally disabled children. I am running for council because I am frustrated with what I have seen and experienced in Mission over the last few years. I think it’s time for more innovative thinking and a political approach based on consultation and common sense. Share your views. Find me on Facebook or at muir777@telus.net.
