An opening ceremony was held Saturday for the new pump station at Hatzic Lake.

A major piece of the Dewdney Area Improvement District's drainage plan was officially opened Saturday.

The pump station is located at the end of Hatzic slough and cost $4 million to build, through a combination of federal and provincial government money, and funds from affected taxpayers.
