RCMP seeks owners of watches and rings found in Chilliwack

Does anyone recognize these rings with precious stones or collectible timepieces found in backpack?

Mounties are asking for help from the public to locate the owner of valuables found in Chilliwack.

RCMP are circulating a photo of the items in the hopes that someone knows something since no one has claimed ownership.

The items were found in a backpack on South Sumas Road including several collectible pocket watches, rings with precious stones and a gold ring.

“RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance to locate the owner of collector watches and precious gem rings.”

It was a a member of the public who found the valuables in a backpack, in the 45000-block of South Sumas Road and handed them in to police.

“Investigators feel the items might hold sentimental value and are reaching out for assistance in returning the property to the owner,” says Chilliwack RCMP spokesman Cpl. Mike Rail.

Anyone with information is urged to call police using the non-emergency line at 604-792-4611.
