Shots fired during home invasion in Mission

Mission RCMP have arrested one man in the incident that took place in the area of Dewdney Trunk Road and Cardinal Street.

The sound of gunshots were heard by Mission residents late Tuesday night.

At approximately 11 p.m. on June 7, Mission RCMP responded to a call of multiple gunshots in the area of Dewdney Trunk Road and Cardinal Street.

Two suspects were reported to have fled the area in a vehicle shortly after the shots were heard.

Responding officers determined that the scene of the occurrence was a residential property.

Mission RCMP Sgt. Shaun Wright said the incident appears to have been a targeted home invasion.

One male was arrested at the residence.

The investigation is ongoing but Wright said it is anticipated that firearms and production of a controlled substance related charges will be laid.
