Although Mission Public Schools were open Monday, many parents and children took a snow day and headed for the hills at Fraser River Heritage Park and Griner Park on Cherry Avenue.
Five-year-old Arianna came down the Griner hill with her mom, Rena, and was followed closely behind by her dad Logan. Rena grew up in Mission and explained the family was taking a snow day.
