Emergency crews on scene and blocking the right lane

UPDATE: Highway is now clear.

An SUV on fire on Highway 1 has the westbound roadway down to a single lane between Abbotsford and Chilliwack.

It’s unknown whether the fire is the result of an accident, but emergency crews are on scene and have the right lane blocked just west of Number 3 Road.

Vehicles are starting to back up from congestion so expect delays.
