A downtown Mission business was broken into early Wednesday morning and Mission RCMP are asking any witnesses to come forward.

The break-in occurred at about 2:40 a.m. on Jan. 31 at the Big Box Outlet store on First Avenue.

According to police, a male suspect, dressed all in black, smashed open a large window on the store and walked in.

While it is still early into the investigation, Staff Sgt. Steve Crawford said “it appears to be a lone male with a bag” who broke the window and went into a display case.

While it has not been confirmed yet by investigators, it appears that the suspect likely stole a row of watches and some perfume and they ran from the store.

The Integrated Police Dog Service was called in but was not able to locate the suspect.

RCMP are now examining the security video.

If anyone has any information on this case, they can call the Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161.
