Two people have now been charged in relation to an incident last year in which shots were fired and four people were injured during a house party in central Abbotsford.

Stephen Tomac, 27, has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault and one count each of using a firearm to commit an offence, unlawfully discharging a firearm and possessing a firearm without a licence.

Claudette Marsh, 19, has been charged with one count of aggravated assault.

The pair failed to show up Wednesday for a scheduled appearance in Abbotsford provincial court, and warrants have been issued for their arrests, according to the provincial court database.

The charges stem from an incident on March 17, 2017, when police were called to the area of Beaver Street and Seal Way.

Police who arrived found two men in their early 20s both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospital.

Two other men – also in their early 20s – also arrived at the hospital. One had gunshot wounds and the other sustained injuries related to blunt-force trauma.

A police dog unit was brought to the scene and a firearm was located, although police haven’t revealed the make of the weapon.

All the people involved were believed to have been attending a large house party nearby on Peardonville Road prior to the attack.

The exact circumstances that led to the assaults have not been released.
