Two homes searched and four arrested and charged

Mounties arrested four Mission residents suspected of selling drugs on the street and supplying drugs in exchange for stolen property last Friday.

All four were taken into custody after police searched two homes, one in the 7700 block of Pintail Street and the other in the 33700 block of First Avenue, and located a quantity of meth and oxycodone and $1,000 in cash.

All four suspects were working together, said Mission RCMP Sgt. Miriam Dickson.

Dave Hair, 40, is charged with trafficking cocaine and meth; Dennis Wood, 53, and Cathy Horvath, 38, are each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking meth and oxycodone; and Robert Hoysather is charged with trafficking cocaine and meth.

Police began their investigation in November, said Dickson.

Mission RCMP’s street crime unit and crime reduction unit worked together to identify the individuals involved and the search warrants were executed with assistance from the Lower Mainland’s Emergency Response Team.

Stolen puppies

Police are asking anyone with information about two missing golden retriever lab puppies to give them a call. The six-week old puppies were taken from their home in the 35100 block of Youngston Road between Jan. 25 and the early hours of Jan. They were inside an unlocked shed in the backyard of the residence when they were taken, said Sgt. Miriam Dickson.

Anyone with information is asked to call Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161.
