A TransLink bus crashed into two vehicles on Fraser Hwy. in Aldergrove Thursday morning.

It is believed that a medical condition caused a TransLink bus driver to swerve into oncoming traffic Thursday morning in Aldergrove.

The TransLink bus crashed into an oncoming Jeep Wrangler and two parked vehicles in the 27100-block of Fraser Highway in Aldergrove around 10 a.m. Nov. 17.

The transit bus was eastbound on Fraser Hwy. and crossed into the westbound lanes.

RCMP Corp. Holly Largy said there is an "investigation into the possibility the driver suffered a medical event causing him to lose control of the bus. He was taken to hospital for tests."

The driver and passenger of the Jeep were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Two unoccupied parked vehicles were also damaged when they were rammed onto the sidewalk.

The highway was closed to traffic in that block briefly to allow safe response to the emergency.
