Mission Fire Rescue Service are on scene at an accident at the Mission Raceway.

Mission Fire Rescue Service, Mission RCMP and BC Ambulance Services were called to the Mission Raceway on Monday afternoon after two motorcycle racers crashed into each other.

Police and firefighters assisted B.C. Ambulance Services to create a medical helicopter landing zone to transport one rider to hospital with what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP Staff Sgt. Rob Dixon told the Record that  it appears that one of the motorcyclist fell off his bike while racing and another rider collided with the downed bike, launching the second rider into the air, causing the injuries.

No other injures were reported at that time.
