Homicide investigators have confirmed the victim in last week’s daytime shooting in North Vancouver died on Thursday.

Ngoc Mai (Anita) Nguyen, 32, was on life support after being gunned down in the 1100-block of Lonsdale Avenue on April 2. Police say she had been driving to work in her Volkswagen Passat.

Investigators are still searching for the shooter in what they believe to be a targeted incident, and are asking the public for video footage from the area between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.

“Detectives continue to relentlessly pursue Anita Nguyen’s killer and we need the community to partner with us in solving her murder,” says Cpl. Frank Jang with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team. “She was a young mother and we are working hard to find answers for her family.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 1-877-551-4448.
