Woman to hospital with knife wound after dispute escalates

Mounties still searching for suspect in mid-day knife attack.

Mission RCMP are looking for a suspect in a mid-day knife incident that sent one woman to hospital.

Sgt. Shaun Wright said police were called to the Mission Hills shopping centre at 12:05 p.m. Friday afternoon after a dispute between two women ended in one of those involved being wounded with a small knife. Wright could not say if the woman was slashed or stabbed.

The victim was taken to hospital, while Mounties continue to search for the suspect, whose identity is known to them.
