NOTICE IS GIVEN under Section 467 of the Local Government Act that rezoning bylaws 6328-2024-5949(175), 6337-2024-5949(179) and 6338-2024-5949(180) will be considered by City of Mission Council at its regular meeting on Monday, March 3, 2025, for the purposes of first reading, with the option to grant second and third readings.
In accordance with Section 464(3) of the Local Government Act, no public hearing is permitted for applications that are consistent with the Official Community Plan and are primarily residential.
There are no in-person speaking opportunities for the proposed bylaw amendments. Should you wish to make known to Council any comments that you may have about a proposed zoning bylaw, send your written submission, including your name and address, to the attention of Planning, by either email to planning@mission.ca or mail to 7337 Welton Street, Mission, BC V2V 3X1, by 4:00 pm on Friday, February 28, 2025.
Bylaws to be considered:
1. ZONING AMENDING BYLAW 6328-2024-5949(175)
The purpose of the Bylaw is to rezone the subject properties located at 33067 and 33085 Cherry Avenue, and 8443 Nottman Street (shown on the maps below), from the Suburban 20 (S20) Zone to the Multi-unit Townhouse One (MT1) Zone to facilitate a townhouse development.
2. ZONING BYLAW TEXT AMENDMENT TO UC300 ZONE – 6337-2024-5949(179)
The purpose of the Bylaw is to amend Zoning Bylaw 5949-2020 to include the Urban Compact 300 (UC300) Zone.
3. ZONING BYLAW AMENDMENT – 6338-2024-5949(180)
The purpose of the Bylaw is to rezone the properties located at 8097, 8111, 8177 Loftus Street from the Rural 16 (RU16) Zone to the Urban Compact 300 (UC300) Zone to facilitate a subdivision.
