 Arthur Ghislain
Jan. 28, 1933 – Oct. 2, 2007
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Art (Arthur) Lemay on Oct. 2 at MSA Hospital at the age of 74. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by Margo, his devoted wife of 49 years, son Steve (Anndraya), daughters Marlene, Annie, Carolle, grandchildren Janel, Laine, Raeleen, Mackenzie, his faithful dog Miki and his many friends.
Art was born in Desbiens, Quebec.  Him and his family lived in Quebec until 1966 when his work on the powerlines then took them to the U.S.A. and then Africa for five years. The family settled in Mission in 1976. Art continued his work on the powerlines until 1982 then spent the next couple of years enjoying a woodworking business which he ran from his garage. In 1984 Art and Margo started their business of Belles New and Used and Belles Sports. That kept them busy for the next 13 years, but also left them time to enjoy camping at Everglades Resort with family and friends. That’s where Art discovered his new toy, The Sea-doo. He spent many fun and sometimes crazy hours cruising the lake on it. Art and Margo sold Belles in 1997 and soon retired to Abbotsford. Art loved to get in their motorhome and take off on road trips with his wife, which included going to Quebec and Arizona.
Art was a very strong man both physically and emotionally. He was a very fun-loving man who was always up for a good time and a good laugh. Art was very dedicated to his family and friends whom are all going to miss him and his big heart of gold.
A memorial service in memory of Arthur will be held on Saturday, October 20, 11:00 a.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Rd., Abbotsford. Reception to follow.Â
