Adrianus “Art” Paalvast, late of Abbotsford, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2006 at the age of 79 years. He is survived by children, Toni, John, Alix, Marian (Blair), Ron and Robert, as well as sisters and brothers in Holland, grandchildren, Eric, Geoffrey, Nicole, Nathan and Kari. He was predeceased by his wife Adriana and son Teddy.
Dad enjoyed having coffee daily with his friends at the shopping mall in Abbotsford. He also loved kids of all ages. Dad loved to go for drives and looked forward to the pie and ice cream during the outings. He was a past president of the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Victoria.
The family would like to thank his caregivers who looked after Dad during his illness.
He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 31, 2006 at 1:00 pm from St. Ann’s R.C. Church 33333 Mayfair Ave, Abbotsford, with celebrant Father Robert Wong SJ. Visitation will be available prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Canadian Cancer Society.
