MOLNAR Alex Edmond. Jan. 16, 1929 ~ June 4, 2011. Alex passed away suddenly in the early hours of June 4, 2011 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. Predeceased by his parents John and Julia Molnar, brother Bill, sister Anna and wife Phyllis. He is survived by brothers John (Kathi), Les (Anna Mae), Mike (Raylene) Richie and Ernie and their families. He is also survived by his partner Diane and her family who loved him very much. Alex was born and raised in the Abbotsford area. As a young man he worked in the tobacco fields around Yarrow, logging camps, laying pipes in Whistler and finally retiring from Fraser Valley Steel & Wire in 1989. Alex loved to cook and treated us to many dishes from his Hungarian heritage, but his cabbage rolls were our favorite. Most Sundays found us at the Aldergrove Legion dance ("Twinkle Toes" could still do a fair jive.) We all miss your smiling face.
