It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Allan East. He passed peacefully with family by his side.
Allan is survived by his wife Anne, five children; Jim, Dianne, Rosanne, Heather & Cindy, four stepchildren; Gordon, Clayton, April & Kelly, 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his first wife Earlene and eldest son Wally.
Allan was the New Year's Baby in Chilliwack in 1936.
Allan was a very hard working man in his younger years. He ventured out to Alberta at the age of 15, worked in Calgary, but then found work at his sister Norma's ranch in Ponoka. He returned to Fraser Valley where he met and married Earlene (Hawkins) and had six children. After different jobs he started on the tugboats where he worked his way up to Captain until he retired.
He met his second wife, Anne, in Mission and moved to Chase after retiring. He continued to do odd jobs and enjoyed camping, fishing, welding and woodworking.
