SMART, Allan James
Passed peacefully to his rest at Abbotsford, BC on Sunday February 13 2011, surrounded by his family. He was 98 years of age. Predeceased by his first wife, Iva, sister Hilda and brother Gordon, Allan is survived by his wife Lucy; his children, David, Craig and Charmaine, nine grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren. He leaves, also, many nieces and nephews and dear friends. After his career in the R.C.A.F, Allan worked in the plumbing and heating industry. He was active, also, in community affairs, as a crosswalk officer and safety inspector. A funeral service will be held at Abbotsford Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1921 Griffiths Rd. at 2:00 PM Sunday February. 20, preceded by an hour of visitation, for family and friends. Interment to follow, at 10:00 AM, on Monday, February 21st at Valley View Cemetery, in Surrey, BC.
